Workshop Capability
Our etching workshop is set up for one-stop production, from artwork review and photomask layout to etching, finishing and inspection. We handle thin flat metal and glass parts across a range of thicknesses and sheet sizes, and support both short-run prototypes and repeat production orders. In-house processing means drawings, etching and finishing stay under one roof, which shortens lead times and keeps quality consistent between the first sample and the production run.

- LED exposure machine — UV exposure for photoresist imaging, providing consistent pattern transfer across the sheet

Quality Inspection Process
- Drawing review — we check tolerances, dimensions and manufacturability before production.
- Material check — sheet grade and thickness are confirmed against the specification.
- Mask and exposure — photomask alignment and exposure are verified so the pattern transfers cleanly.
- Etch monitoring — etch time and bath condition are controlled to achieve consistent depth and edge quality.
- Post-processing — resist stripping, cleaning, and any electroplating, colouring, forming or stamping.
- Final inspection — our quality inspection department checks dimensions, surface finish and appearance against the drawing before shipment.

What equipment is used for etching?
The workshop runs a JM650 DES LINE chemical etching line together with LED exposure machines for photoresist imaging. Keeping etching and exposure in house lets us control pattern transfer and keep quality consistent from prototype through production.

Can you work from my drawing?
Yes. Send your design in CAD or vector format and we will review it for tolerances, dimensions and manufacturability. If you do not have a photomask layout, our technical team can prepare it for you.
